oil seals 700 1989

I'm in the process of replacing a rear engine crank seal, and the automatic transmission (AW70L) is sitting on my shop table. It looks like the output shaft on the transmission is wet, so I'll replace that seal as well. But I can't find any mention in the FAQ or the archives of replacing front tranmission seals. Do these seals not wear out? How do you get to them anyway (pull off the torque converter?)? I'm going to sell this car soon and would like to have a completely drip-free engine and transmission to show off.
