Thanks to all of you, I'm getting ready to undertake my biggest DYI ever!!
I've had no luck finding a good used engine wiring harness for my 86 744 GLE.Dave Barton has an 87 in excellent condition and after some research work
from both of us we are positive the harness swap could be sucessfully done.The only difference is the temperature sensor connector (single spade in an 86..double connectors in an 87) and an extra plug(the other side of the unused wire from the temp. sensor)that will be sitting idle by the ignition coil.
I'm not planning to remove the intake and I'm a rookie to stuff like this.Just
reading FAQ and some basic instructions from Dave Barton's site is all the knowledge I have so if you are familiar w/ all the connectors I will be dealing with and common pitfalls to avoid,please shoot me a line or two.It will be greatly appreciated!!! Don't worry there won't be any intelligence to insult.
