'New' 240 - what to do immediately 200 1985

Dear all,

My 17yo nephew has just acquired 1985 240GL auto wagon. Looks and drives well, but of unknown maintenance hisory. I was going to change the timing belt, fit a new flame trap (it failed the jiggle test) and replace all fluids and check the brake pads. Anything else I should be looking for?

It runs very well , but is pretty rough for a minute or so after a cold startup. Anything obvious to look for?

Thanks

JohnH
