Over the past 5 years, I have found myself hunting down 240s for my kids to drive. So far, two have been totaled (children safe) and one sold.
Looking again recently (yes, becasue of another accident), I have been having trouble finding a good one at a reasonable price (if anyone is interested in buying an '85 244 with lots of VERY recent work for WAY more than it's worth, let me know).
The point of my post is: I travel to Puerto Rico on a regular basis. I had noticed for years that there was a dearth of Volvos on the island. Rarely did I see more than a couple.
This year, I saw more Volvos in Puerto Rico than I saw in Oregon! Someone is importing them to the island. Must be a batch of "compromised" vehicles, purchased state side and shipped there for consumption (the salt air and the asinine drivers consume cars there, believe me).
Anybody know the story behind this sudden influx of Volvos to Puerto Rico?
