The mileage on my '96 960 just reached 70,000. I am the original owner and the car is dealer-maintained. The following are a list of items replaced since my ownership. I would appreicate if anyone could tell me if I wanted to spend $500 for replacemnt parts likely to fail between 70,000 to 100,000 miles. (I mean to replace the parts before they fail.) What should I get? Although my 960 runs well at this time, after reading so many negative comments, I feel I might get stuck on highway anyday.
11/'98-Replaced intake gasket, and air pump valve. 11/'99-Replaced warped rear discs, steering colum U-Joint, control arm bushing, and shifter micro switch. 3/'02-Replaced timing belt, accessory belt, radiator, and PNP switch.
