access to relays 700 1990

On my 90 740 GL (B230F) I want to access the relays. Below the radio and above the ash tray is a storage cubby with the cigarette lighter. If I could remove the little storage cubby it would help. What is the procedure for doing this, I looked and tried buy don't want to inadvertantly break anything.
