Hot FP relay 700 1988

Resently my car has been having some stalling problems (i.e. stalling out when at a stop light). The idle could be a bit more stable. Anyway, after a twenty minute drive today i pulled my fuse cover off and noticed that my fuel pump relay was hot. Very hot. Is this normal or should i replace?
