driving down the road today and my 87 740NA started to overheat. When I pulled over to the side and popped the hood, I noticed that the water pump belt had come off. No problem - I carry a good set of tools with me. As I started to loosen the air pump adjusting nut, I noticed that crank pully had sheared off the rubber and almost off the housing.
QUESTION : 1./ Is this a DIY job or is it better to take it to a shop ?
2./ At a shop , what can I expect to be charged ?
3./ Anything recomended to replace while replacing pulley ?
Thanks in advance
