...least that is how it acts.
Spoke to Ken at ipd yesterday and explained my problem. It seems to be a fuel delivery issue and not ignition, since tach needle does not drop at any time.
This happened prior to replacing both fuel pumps and still continues. When driving (4 spd w/ OD) between 2000 and 3000 rpms, car jerks. Violently sometimes to the extent that my body is rocking back an forth in my seat and mopeders are passing me on the highway, laughing at me. Sometimes it backfires. This happens no matter how full the tank is. Sometimes the car stalls altogether, and I just restart while coasting down the road. Any suggestions?
Could it be the fuel relay? If fuel relay is bad, wouldn't the car stop working altogether? In a prior note on brickboard, if soldering points are cracked, can the current still jump across, still enabling the relay to work sporaticlly?
Could it be the fuel injector seals? I read another message about a fuse near the power steering pump? What is that? And Ken also said to look at the fuse that leads from the narrow red wire that comes from the battery to the firewall.
Anyone have or had the same problems? Tired of taking it to the volvo guy and paying $80 for computer diagnosis, and them not able to determine what is wrong.
Time for a new/used ECU?
Thanks
