Smoking on over-run 700 1989

Last year I had Tubo seals replaced and this year the valve stem seals but still get clouds of smoke from exhaust after running down long hills on over-run. The valve stem seal replacement has improved the problem and it does not happen everytime as it did before but its not completely cured. Any suggestions would be appreciated. (No smoke on normal running and tickover)
