Auxiliary power outlet in 945 900 1994

[This is a re-post of a message I posted in the Aftermarket forum earlier this week - I'll try fishing over here in RWD instead.]

I'd like to put a 12V outlet in the back of my 945. Alas, the Volvo accessory outlet (p/n 9184607) requires an Integrity Sensor (don't ask me exactly what that is!), which is on the 850, 70, 90 series and perhaps also the 960. Does anyone have any experience in using an aftermarket outlet - or perhaps the bits from such that could be used with this part to provide a safe solution? Thanks -
