LOOKING FOR A GOOD 244? 1988? Beautiful deep red/maroon example

I will also be posting an ad on IPD.

I have a 1988 244DL, with a beautiful body (read: great paint, almost no dents etc.) with a quiet, smooth (even at idle), and strong B230F K series. All lenses are intact, wheels in great shape, almost new tires. Everything works, the heater fan only on speeds 3 & 4, but otherwise everything, including the seat heaters. It has a tan cloth interior that is also in good shape. Mechanically the car is almost unflawed, she may need some new front brake pads as they are getting low. The only downer is that the previous owner smoked in it, so it has "that" smell - but, if you want to buy it, I will have the interior professionaly cleaned, shampooed, and "o-zoned" - basically, they tell me that they guarantee they can get rid of the smell. Car has 265K, but looks, drives and feels like it has 165K. All suspension pieces are tight, and the shocks are good. Tranny fluid (automatic)is pink and smells sweet, same for power steering. She burns no oil (of course), and gets pretty respectable gas mileages (about 340 miles to a tank with a mix of city and highway.).

Selling do to change in family situation (mom moving out soon), and to concentrate efforts on my '68 144S.

Asking $3200 w/professional interior detailing. I will try to get some digital pics soon. My email is ninjafro@hotmail.com. My name is David, and (pause, sigh) I love Volvos.
