There was some discussion at the end of last year about different seat options in 122s, such as bolting in seats from a 140 or 240. Coming from a family with problems in the lower back (apart from my brother-in-law, who's a pain in the neck), my '67 Amazon's seats don't quite come up to scratch on long journeys. Could anyone let me know their success with transplanting more comfortable seats into an Amazon. I hear the 240 ones are really confortable but will they squeeze in and what kind of brackets do you need to use?
Talking of pains in the sump, has anyone successfully improved the limited cold ventilation available in an Amazon? Books like the 'ultimate portfolio' keep mentioning the blasts of hot air but don't mention the opposite, when you're bombing down the motorway on a hot day, don't have A/C, and want to talk to your passenger (so no open windows there then). The ash-tray on the facia seems a nice little space for a air-blower. Or is this sacrilege?
Blowing hot and cold and whingeing,
TomTom
