oil consumption 92 960 900

hi guys

1. my 92 960 is taking a liter of oil every 1000-1500km. tail pipe looks pretty black . also when i changed my oil and filter yeaterday i put 6 liters but it was on lowest mark on dipstick. but manual says 5.75 liters.

BTW no leaks drive way and engine are clean

2 what should be the correct rpm at idle speed(no a/c). mine reads 600rpm and is smooth and i read some post stating it to be around 900rpm .

where should i start from

ubhi 92 960 274000km
