It looks as though there was a problem with the a/c when I got the car.
The pressure switch was cut on top of the compressor, and the control lever was stuck on the snowflake setting.
I don't know for sure but I'm thinking they cut the switch because the switch was stuck on "on". Anyway I've replaced the switch, and jumpered the wire.
It still doesn't come on (AC).
When switch is moved to a/c, I can hear the interior blower force more air though the vents, so I think the switch is okay. The aux. electric fan doesn't come on though. Could this be just low freon? Or?
I want to do anything I can do before taking to shop. Anything I'm missing?
