tacho wire problem 900 1996

hej
i own a 940 polar (1996) which has gone 170000km so far and usually runs very well so far.
yesterday the abs warning indicator lit up, and the tacho needle went to 0 km/h. otherwise, everything works fine.
i suspect the wire to the wheel is broken somewhere. can someone please give me a hint as to where it runs, which wheel it is connected to and so on? i've opened the hood and looked around the front wheels but didn't see anything special. any help is greatly appreciated.
