Lambda warning light problem with LPG conversion 900 1991

I have just bought a 1991 960 3 litre 24 valve saloon and will be converting it to LPG in the next couple of weeks.
My Gas man says there will be a problem with the Lambda warning light coming on every time I switch to LPG. Has anyone come across this problem or indeed managed to overcome the warning light coming on ?
