Stereo template (???) and Temperature gauge... 200

Hello,

First off, I'd like to know where I can find a template for the upper compartment of my dash; I want to move the stereo from the shifter area to that empty space at the top. Can anyone help me with that?

Also, I've been having a problem of late with my temperature gauge. The car has always had a problem with overheating if the A/C compressor is running and the car's at a standstill, and from what I understand, that's a defect of the year and model. However, lately, the temperature will read normal while moving and air conditioner running--and then in a matter of seconds, raise all the way above the red mark and over the H. Then in another few seconds, it's back to normal. I know it's impossible for a normally operating engine to heat and cool that quickly--at least, not without cracking the head or something else, which isn't happening. So is my thermostat going bad? Is there a way to fix it without replacing the entire thermostat? Because I know there's plenty of water and coolant there...

Since we've mentioned air conditioning, I just thought of ANOTHER problem my car has. For some reason, nearly no condensation from the A/C actually exits the car. It's going directly into my carpet, and soaking it. Quite an annoying (and stinky!) problem. Can anyone help me with the drainage? Like, tell me where it is and how to clear it, if possible?

Thanks, peoples!
