Replace radio with wood dash, Help! 200 1992

Just purchased perfect 244, 1992 with 57K miles, garaged and driven by friends grandmother!

Would like to replace the radio, other posts have given me the idea, but I have a wood dash covering the optional instruments next to the radio and gives a small opening the radio sticks from. How do I replace the radio with the wood trim panel over everything?
