Hello everyone,
Here's my saga. I commute about 70 miles a day for work. My car runs fine for my commute, to work 35 miles, then it sits all day, and it runs fine for the 35 miles home. When I get home I hang out for an hour or two, and then head over to my girlfriends place (6 miles away). About 3 miles into my trip the car dies. It happened on tuesday, the RPM gauge dropped to 0 with no sputtering or anything. I was on a down hill and just let the car go, a couple seconds later it fired back up by it self. I brushed it off as being a bug. On Wednesday, same scenario, except this time I'm on the uphill side of hte hill, and it dies. I shut it off, and turn it over a few times nothing. I checked the plug wires to make sure there wasn't a loose one. STUPID ME didn't check for spark. So I roll the car down the hill and park in a church parking lot. I return two hours later, and the car won't start. The next day I get a call from my friend that he went to tow it for me, and it started right up. So this problem only seems to happen after the car has sat for a couple hours, after a long drive. I might drive it around all night tonight until it dies, so atleast I can see wether it is a fuel or spark problem. Anyone have any ideas?
