adding cd player 900 1994

I have a 94 960 sedan. I wanted to add a factory cd. I have a used one and there are two plugs...one is the power and one appears to be a circular plug. I have the circular plug ok as this was attached to the parcel shelf. I cannot locate the power coming off the harness. I wired it directly to the battery but the radio does not recognize the unit. Anyone have any suggestions? It appears the radio does not recognize the cd....Thanks for any suggestions.
