I just purchased a 1998 V90 last Thursday. I picked it up at a car auction through a car dealer friend. It appears to be in outstanding condition with only 35k miles on it. I did have to put a new battery in it, change the wipers and the air filter. The AC needs a little R-134 and the oil and filter need changing. The car was purchased at and serviced by a local Volvo Shop previously.
Are there repair or mechanical issues I should be aware of on the 1998 V90? The reason I ask is that I have a 1998 S70 and have gone through all the headaches: ABS Control Unit, shift-lock switch, door panels bubbling, etc. I also have a 1990 744Ti and the V90 appears to be a cross between the S70 and 744Ti. It is easy to see the 744Ti in certain aspects of the V90 and at the same time the contributions of the S70.
Thanks!
