A/C Fan 900 1995

I have a 1995 960 sedan with 67,xxx miles. Lately When the car accellerates and the A/C is on the fan stops blowing through the console vents. It sounds like it is still blowing and seems to be coming out of the other vents. This occurs irrespective of the climate control being set to "auto" for fan and/or "auto" for vent.

Any suggestions?
