Testing the Air Mass Meter 200 1984

Hey Guys,

I have a 1984 244 that I believe has a bad air mass meter. I pulled the meter out of the car and tested the AMM according to the trusty old Bentley manual. When I tested the platinum wire resistance I recieved 4.2 ohms. The specified value in the book is between 3.5 and 4.0 ohms. Some people are telling me this .2 ohms my meter is off is no big deal. Could being .2 ohms off cause this car to not run? Is this .2 ohms enough to buy another AMM? Thanks in Advance!
