mechanical temp guage available for 240? 200

My 93 240 continutes to show overheating problems in spite of all I've done. Have had the compensating board out of the instrument cluster several times, new radiator, new thermostat, new sender, etc.

I suspect the overheating I'm seeing on the gauge is not really happening, but am tired of wondering if that's the case or not.

Is there a mechanical (tube type) gauge avaialble for the 240 with B230 engine? The generic one I bought from NAPA will not fit into the water jacket. Is much larger than the Volvo sender. How about an adapter for the NAPA gauge into the Volvo water jacket?

Any Other ideas?

THanks.
