Help me identify this part on my b21ft motor? 200

I own a 82GLT wagon with a b21ft motor. Could anyone tell me what the cirled thing is. It's located on the passanger side of the motor and it's towards the rear bottom of the block. There's nothing hooked to it and it concerns me because it looks like it should be connected to something. Anyways, I tried looking in my repair manual but couldn't find anything.
