So I got under the hood and looked around to orient myself with the PCV system. I found the upper hose that the FAQ refers to, with the smaller hose that leads to the intake manifold and the larger hose that flows back to the intake hose that comes off the AMM. Found the oil separator and the housing that sits on it that contains the "flame trap" (as I have been told I don't actually have a flame trap). Now for the Questions:
First - Is it necessary to remove the manifold to remove the "flame trap" or can I just unbolt it (it appears to have just two bolts) and fenagle it out?
Second - The small hose that leads to the manifold attatches to a brass plug. Am I correct in thinking that to remove the hose, the brass plug needs to be removed (unscrewed)?
Third - Do I understand correctly that the lower hose referred to in the FAQ is acutally inside the housing and that is why I don't see it?
Thanks,
Sam
