On my 940, with headlamps and foglamps, there are small metal clips that clip together the glass lens of the headlamps to the rear plastic frame of the headlamp. Also the same for the foglamps. These clips are like 'ties' and clip at the top of the lamp itself, right under the hood of the car. These clips tend to fly off when washing down (wiping) the engine bay...
Does anyone know of these clips that I am talking about? I lost one, went to the dealer but the diagrams on his computer do not show them... looking at different pics of engine bays on the web do not show these clips either. They were there when I got the car, used. I do now know exactly what they do, except that they clip together the front lens (glass or plastic) to the plastic back of the light. I am not sure that it comes apart if I remove the clips.
Is this something stock that someone knows about or should I just forget about them?
My 240 '89 DL does not have them.
Looking for help.
Thanks,
Greg
