One of the cooling lines for ATF wore thru and leaked fluid all over. I believe it is not uncommon.
At any rate, I'm going to fix it with a brass compression fitting that's sold at the local auto parts store for $2.50 (usd) and see how it goes. I've heard that some people patch it with rubber brake-line, but its right there by the exhaust and I can't imagine that it would survive more than a couple years.
It looks kinda clunky, but its cheap. Does anyone know if I should expect this compression-fitting-fix to last?
Thanks,
Flint.
