I am not associated with this j-yard... just a car that should keep rolling.
I don't know if this is in the right forum, but this car should be saved.
I was at Green river Auto wreecking today looking for some stuff for a freind when I came across a complete (I think it is complete, I was given instructions not to open any hoods and such- the body sat level as if it had a motor and trans.) 4 door 122 white(ish) with green(ish) interior, 4 speed. I only saw one dent and it was a mild recess on the pass rear door. The front had the usuall damage from somebody backing into the grill' but it was less dented than my 122 when I got it. The back was clean. Tires were bald.
Rust... I only saw rust on the areas that the fenders mount to the frt. grill under the hood and at the fenders connection to the drivers and pass door bottoms. The rust I saw on the outside wasn't bad enough to fix with a little POR-15 and some paint- not major cancer. Again, I wasn't able to look inside (I should have though!) to see if the floors were solid.
I would pick it up if I was allowed to have another car. They quoted me $350 for the whole car and said it would be testing car crusher in a week.
Anyone interested?
I will be going back for the blower motor on monday. If someone is interested, I can look into it some more.
