How to test drive/check a 95' 940 wagon?

Hi, folks,

This Sat, I will test drive a Volvo. Tell the truth, I don't really know how to test drive/check it. Please make your suggestion! The more in details, the better. I know each model has its weaknesses, if you can tell me where I need to pay special attention to, that would be great. Certainly, after I feel everything is good, I will bring it to a mech shop for a thorough check. BTW, is it easy/inexpensive to service 940?
