is it only the OEM ones that tend to rupture the tranny heat exchanger (leading to ruined transmissions)?
My '96 has an all-metal radiator that appears to be nearly new (I only bought the car a month ago and don't have all the service records).
I was in the process of installing a separate tranny cooler and bypassing the one inside the radiator. But, if the all-metal aftermarket radiator unit is not prone to failure, I will install the cooler after (in series with) the radiator heat exchanger.
Thanks,
Bob
