'91 240 Speedometer/Cruise Control 200 1991

I have been trying to get the cruise control in my
'91 240 to work again. So far everything checks out
ok (vacuum lines, vac pump, wiring, switches) except
that I can not test the output signal from the
speedometer that the cruise control uses. Does anyone
know what form this signal takes (0-5V, ???)?
