bearings failing in my 95' 960 900 1995

I can hear a bad bearing in the alternator, otherwise it works just fine. When I checked Napa parts online, it showed that I could purchase bearings for the alternator. Can I just replace the bearings in the alternator? If so, how difficult is the job?
