instrument lights 200 1992

After removing the volvo radio and fitting a different make radio my dashboard lights are not working and the bulb failure warning comes on when the brake pedal is depressed but all the brake lights are working OK.Is there some connection between the radio wiring and the dashboard lights or have I inadvertantly knocked a connection of the back of the dash?Everything other than dash lights appears to be working correctly ,warning and main lights etc.At the time of writing I don't have a wiring diagram.
