I'm getting around to rebuilding the B20 to swap out the B18. Got it down to the crank and need to get the cam out.
Having a tough time with the cam nut. Its really frozen on there even though all was still pretty wet with oil inside the motor. But this motor had been sitting an unknown amount of time.
My technique has been to jam the gears with a rag and try to crank on it with a large adjustable wrench. Heading to Sears to get the right size socket (I'll need one to torque the new cam) so hope I can get it with my breaker bar.
Just want to be sure I'm not likely to damage anything important. It is being rebuilt so there are some things I'm not too concerned about damaging, but don't want to screw anything up.
Is this usually one of the PITA aspects of a tear-down?
