I have an 1985 240 sedan and at the very end of the summer my AC stopped working, when I got out of the car to check I heard a hissing sound and upon investigation found it to be coming from the hose which passes through the front of the car by the drivers side headlight, and then goes in front of the radiator. The sheet metal had wore through the hose.
My question is what do I need to know to replace this or is it best left to the mechanics? I still have a pound of freon from before the restrictions, although I'm sure I'll need more.
