rear end noise--STILL 200

It was suggested to me that the rrr rrr rrr sound from my rear end may be due to torque rod bushings...I replaced the trailing arm bushings and the noise level was somewhat improved BUT still there. The question is, Can bad torque rod bushings produce this type of sound? (I have swapped out wheel bearings, changed the diff lube, checked the ebrakes). Shouldn't bad tr bushings just produce clunks instead of whirring/scraping sounds?
