transmission ( i'm an idiot) 200

Dear board
I am an idiot and was trying to use my volvo for some thing it was not intened to do I have a 1982 244 with autamatic transmission. So now for the dilema every one in school laughs at my car so in order to make it seem slightly "cooler" I spin the weels every once in awile. Tonight was no exeption so i had stoped and then put it in nutraul reved it a little then put it in drive and a bad sound came from it. After that i only had first so i drove home in first and now am wondering what would be my best course of action I would perfeer to keep the car so i guess i would like some ideas and any info on tranys you may have manuel or autimatic.

looking for any help
