How long should PBR pads last on the front of a 945? 900 1991

My 1991 945 PBR brake pads have started squeaking and making nosie. They have about 30K on them. I bought them form IPD. The IPD catalog says the PBR pads have a 40K warantee. Has anyone had any experience with PBR pads wearing out early?
