Ok I have had this temperature problem for the last year or longer. When I start the car in the morning or anytime it has been setting the temperature guage will go up about three quaters of the way up the scale very slowly, then come back to normal. Stay there for a while then go back up two needle widths. This is an 85 244 DL. I have read all the post about temp comp board, mine does not seem to have one. I was told by Volvo I needed an electric fan in front of the condensor. I found one at a junk, installed it did not solve my problem even with the thing running at all times. Changed the temp sensor.
