Anyone swap their small wagon gas tank for a new larger one? Is it feasible? 700

Went poking around Edmunds the other day, comparing stats between various wagon model years. Discovered that Volvo increased the gas tank capacity from 15.8 to 19+ gal. around '92/'93. Sure would be nice to gain some range by putting in a late model tank, but don't know if it's feasible. Doesn't seem like it would work b/c my '88 wagon is a 760 and I'd guess that the increase only came about through reworking the chassis in some major way. Anybody know how much of a pipe dream this is? Care to give me a cold hard slap of reality, here? Or would it maybe just work? Any clues would be helpful. TIA. -Boozer
