Hi, I was driving my 1976 264 GL and it died when I was driving. It was idling noticiable differently in the minutes before it died. When I tried to restart it the battery was too dead to start it. This has happened three times. When I came back to my car in a couple hours it started again. I went to get my battery tested, but the place I brought it to recycled my battery without testing it, but they did give me a new one for free but I'll never know if the old battery was bad or not. I brought my car into a volvo repair shop who I've dealt with in the past, and they drove it around for a while and are having no problems with the car, of course. They can't find anything wrong except my distributor was very dirty, which they cleaned, and they say that I need a tune up. Anyways I don't know what to do, I'm leaving my car with them and they are going to drive it some more but I was hoping that some one has a suggestion. PLEASE, I would really, really, really appreciate any feedback on what you think.
Thanks
Rk
