Hi Folks, I'm still trying to solve my OD problem. It has not worked since IO bought the car. Several weeks ago, I checked and determined that I had 12 volts to the solenoid, but no click. I got two O rings pulled the old solenoid and determined that the top plastic was cracked and if I squeezed the plastic down the solenoid would click.
Based on that I installed the two new o rings, for sealing purposes, and test ran it. The OD worked for a while!. I ordered a new solenoid and installed it. It worked a few times , then no OD. It was and is still clicking,
My next thought it to pull the solenoid again and see if I have an O ring out of place or partially plugged hole it it or the trans body.
Theory Questions.
Is the Solenoid Passage open in OD or is it Closed in OD? I may try to dummy up the old valve as a test tool to bypass the
What besides the Solenoid happens to make the OD kick in? It seems like I had to be going 55 mph plus for it to work.
Any other Trouble shooting tricks?
I have read ther FAQ
Regards
Woody
