Strange but true...this morning I lifted up the hood on my 89 740 and saw a young rat run out from under the hood insulation...lots of seeds dropped out ,too. And the car's only been sitting still since friday.
Perhaps it is a coincidence, but the car just today runs like crap.. stalling out, stumbling and going into "limp home mode"...I've checked the codes & they indicate problems with the AMM (too rich, etc). The car starts and runs with the AMM disconnected. Is it fried? I've removed the silver heated air hose to keep it from heating up the air too much.
could it also be a plugged up catalytic converter (this one is new 2 years ago)?
sometimes it runs fine, then after startup the "rat induced" problems start.
I'm heading to the FAQ..but I have not seen any pest control suggestions there.
Thanks for any help,
el Raidman
