I recently bought a nice 89 240 with 109k for a work car. It has a rough popping idle, much more so than my 88 760 T-wagon with 92k. Do you think a valve adjustment would help? How do you know when you need a valve adjustment?
The car idles much nicer when the weather and the car are warmed up well, though it still has that popping idle.

My 760 is smoother, I have not had the valves adjusted on it yet from 59k.
