'95 945T Test Drive 900

I had to tool around town today on this fine vacation day and found some time to check out a 945T at RMP Nissan in Durham. I am really looking for a "cheaper" car for my son as the car was listed for 9.5k. I had never driven a turbo before. It was an Oklahoma car, 98k miles, had never seen the inside of a garage, never waxed, beige cloth seats, worn and torn vinyl optional arm rests, scratches from car washes, door handle finger wells blackened, dirty engine, white like mine, no rust, dealer roof rack, factory installed turbo per the VIN number, and no maintenance record since 48k (typical). I forgot everything your're supposed to check for.
Started well even though the battery had little kick, I took off easy, hit business 15-501N and whoa, what's this, an eight cylinder 350? Talk about whiplash baby, the turbo kicked in smoothly on demand and had great power. Eased off at 55MPH and checked a little top end action from 55 to 65 and backed off due to heavy holiday traffic. Very, very nice.
Original everything including the leaking radiator, yup at the hose, also a pin hole at the top of the plastic. The brick was cleanable, could be fixed up with a little TLC. Well, I gave them a low ball offer and was turned down, (for now).
Turbo owners, the secret is out, now I know what your on to.

Neighbors, hope you all have a great turkey day. A Thanksgiving Day thanks to you bricksters for making Brick ownership a real pleasure.
