Prior reading and the FAQ indicate that there should be no line from the throttle body directly to the "flame trap" (as there is on my naturally aspirated 240). The previous owner's RTVing over a mangled nipple would seem to indicate that no further vacuum is needed (or turbo induced pressure wanted) to keep things moving. -i'd rather not know how much sealant was sucked into the engine.
However, the PartMan at the dealer insists that this nipple isn't simply capped off, and that there is indeed a line that runs "somewhere." He wouldn't say where this line runs to, only that it must have been "eliminated." Normally, i'd just shrug this off as PartMan ignorance, but the '92 is sometimes quirky partwise.
Does anyone know if later 740s were odd in this respect, or can I just cap it off and drive away in good conscience?
Thanks for any info, sorry to bring up such a well documented subject.
