Hi all. I've been casually looking for a 122S for a while now, and came across this. I'd like some feedback--is this car worth considering? It seems to have some desirable upgrades (limited slip diff, disc brakes, suspension, rebuilt b20), and I'm not looking to spend tons of time on the car myself. I grew up with my dad's 122s and would love to own one myself and use it as a daily driver, but also wouldn't mind babying it and taking great care of it. It's a CA car and the guy's looking for about $4k.
It's a '68 2-door. The car has a B20 w/ 2k miles since rebuild (1998). The transmission and shifter are from a 75 and was also rebuilt. The rear end was also rebuilt and is from a 73 1800 ES with 4.1 gears, limited slip, and disc brakes. It has Volvo Rally progressive springs up front and lowered springs of unknown origin in the rear with kyb shocks all around. It also has IPD front and rear sway bars. The paint is mostly orignal and polishes up nicely but will need paint sometime soon. The interior is mostly original with the exception of carpet, the tach, steering wheel/column, and the shifter conversion. The steering column and braking components are out of a Canadian 69 122. The steering column locks like a 142. The power brakes (4 wheel disc) are also like the 142 models. It also has a cable clutch.
Thanks for your help and feedback!
