to fix or not to fix 200 1978

Hi. My family owns a 1978 244DL volvo. It was in pretty good condition when we bought it (except for the front passenger seat and the dash board). But since then it has been driven a little. Now it has quite a few miles on it an has a few problems. The radiator leaks into the the engine and vise virsa. The transmission also needs some work. When starting the car, it tends to not stay i gear. We tried to fix the radiator problem by adding a mixture to the radiator fluid that was supposed to seal things up. It has been sitting in front of our house for about a year now.

I was wondering if we should fix it a little and then sell it, or just donate it to a charity for a tax rebate, or sell it to a junk yard. I am interested in working on it, but I dont want to invest more than it will sell for. I dont think anyone in the our family will ever drive it again.

Any suggestion??
thank you for your time!
:)
